Super Visa

The Super Visa is designed for eligible parents and grandparents, allowing them to stay in Canada for up to two years at a time without needing to renew their status. The Super Visa is valid for up to 10 years and enables multiple entries into Canada.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a Super Visa, applicants must meet certain criteria:

• Relationship: Must be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
• Invitation Letter: Must provide a letter of invitation from the child or grandchild living in Canada, detailing their status (citizen or permanent resident), address, and commitment to support the visitor.
• Financial Support: The child or grandchild must demonstrate sufficient income to support the visiting parent or grandparent, usually shown through proof of income, such as notices of assessment or pay stubs.
• Medical Insurance: Applicants must have valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year, with a minimum coverage of $100,000 for health care, hospitalization, and repatriation.
• Application Process: Must submit an application for the Super Visa, including required documents and fees.
